まず「調査レポート」は inspection reportではなく、investigation report です。工業製品に何らかの不具合が発生した場合、まず不具合の原因を調べます。この翻訳課題ではあるプリント基板が不具合を起こしたのでその原因を調査しています。この場合の「調査」は inspection ではなく investigation を使います。
「抵抗」に対する英語は resistance と resistor の2つがあります。resistance （抵抗値）は抵抗の値を表し、resistor （抵抗器）はその抵抗値を持った電気部品としての抵抗を意味します。よって上の文章内の抵抗は抵抗器のことであり、resistor としなくてはなりません。
